Sandy has worked with children for over 25 years. She has been an elementary teacher and media specialist.

Sandy Larson:

  • Has been an elementary teacher & media specialist for over 18 years. Currently is teaching at Baxter Elementary in the Brainerd School District
  • Director of the Focus for Success program at Cedarbrook Center
  • Mother for 22 years
  • Dedicated to working with children

  • Continuing Education chair of the Brainerd District Committee
  • Started Camp Baxter
  • Started 4th grade volunteer Media Helpers
  • Invited authors and illustrators for school presentations

Jerry's Experience

Jerry Jensen has over 30 years experience as a teacher, school principal, and counselor. Jerry's background includes:

  • counseling children, adolescents, and their families
  • psychotherapy with adults for relationship concerns
  • parent and relationship enrichment
  • spiritual direction and wellness
  • general mental health counseling with a sensitivity to trauma and abuse issues
  • presentations and trainings to local and national audiences
  • dedication to his spouse and children

Some highlights of Jerry's professional life include:

  • 30+ years experience as a counselor, teacher, and school principal
  • Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • Member of the Minnesota Board of Psychology - Chair in 2010
  • former Board of Directors of the Minnesota Counseling Association
  • M.A. in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota
  • B.S. in Education (minor in Psychology) from the University of Minnesota.
